Mayfair Steel and Aluminium have created and established a systematic approach to managing Work Safety & Health which has been integrated into our wider management system. We have processes for the management of safety and health risks in the workplace to prevent injuries and illnesses and also for managing workplace incidents, injuries or illness when/if they may occur. This policy is in line with our Strategic Goals of our Company.
This policy aims in maintaining and improving work safety and health, by providing a framework and opportunities within our WHS management system that complies with current Legislation, for example, WHS Act 2011, WHS Regulations 2011, codes of practices and focuses on our key objectives of commitment and continual improvement for all of our activities projected within our business plans.
Mayfair is committed to continual improvement in achieving , maintaining and leading by example in health, safety and welfare for all of our staff, contractors and those visiting our places of work.
We have achieved this by adopting a pro-active risk management approach focused on continual improvement of our programs that have a proven result of preventing of work related incidents, injury and illness in accordance with WHS legislation and standards.
The Mayfair Management System within Mayfair is based on best practices principles that embed a strong safety culture within our company. This includes the key strategy of effective consultation with our staff and key stakeholders as required for eliminating or, if not, reasonably practicable, minimising risks.
The components of our Management System are consistent with ISO45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management – specification with guidance for use. These include;
